Dave Koons has won Best Songwriter (Rock)/ John Lennon Songwriting 1992, Yamaha Music Competition 1995 and Charlotte Regional Music Awards 2016.
Crescent Music Performing Artist of the year 2013 and 2015.
He has also written music for a documentary for the charity; 'Susan B. Koman for the Cure'.
Dave Koons started his public music life playing at the Black Mountain Music Festival at Age 10, and now fronts the Koyotes.

Dave Koons has performed stand-up comedy, appeared in two Theater productions as leading characters; including playing the lead role as Oscar Madison in 'The Odd Couple'. Major motion picture credits include Chiefs (1983), 29th Street (1990) with Danny Aeillo, Anthony LaPaglia and Death Sentence (1998) with Kevin Bacon and Kelly Preston.
